The month of July marks the midway point of the year. It’s also considered a month of fun by many, thanks its major holidays and celebratory focus on ice cream.

If you’re looking for a reason to celebrate anything related to chocolate and ice cream, you’ve landed in the right month, where you’ll find multiple days dedicated to these sugary delights in between more historical observances. Without a doubt the most celebrated event in July is the 4^th of July with its parades, picnics and all the fanfare this day deserves. It’s the birthday of America!

SHRIMP CEVICHE

This is our beach appetizer!

1 ½ Cups Tomato Juice

¼ Cup Ketchup

¼ Fresh Lime Juice

1 Tsp Hot Sauce

1 Tsp Salt

½ Cup finely chopped onion

1 ripe Avocado – cubed

½ lb fresh crab meat

½ lb cooked small shrimp

Stir all sauce ingredients together

Gently stir in the rest

Chill and serve in tall glasses.
