HONEY GARLIC PORK STRIPS

Saucy, Sweet and Tasty!

PINCH OF SALT – to taste

FRESHLY GROUND BLACK PEPPER – to taste

½ TSP GARLIC POWDER – or to taste

4-6 PORK STRIPS – pounded (pork steaks)

1/3 CUP HONEY

1/3 CUP CHICKEN BROTH

2 TBS RICE WINE VINEGAR

½-1 TBS SOY SAUCE – to taste

PINCH CAYENNE PEPPER – to taste

2 TBS OLIVE OIL

2 TBS BUTTER – unsalted

4 CLOVES GARLIC – minced

In a small bowl, combine, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Whisk together. Season both sides of each pork strip using up the entire mixture.

In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and butter. Add pork strips and sear until browned. (Searing will lock in all the juices so that the meat will not get dry.) Flip the pork strips over and sear the other side.

Once this is done, add the garlic to the pan and let cook for a quick minute. Add the honey mixture to the pan and move the strips around in the pan to get them well coated.

With the pork strips in the pan, let the sauce simmer until it reduces to a nice rich color. Turning them often. They should reach a temp of 155º. At this point turn up the heat and bring the sauce to a rolling boil allowing the sauce to reduce and thicken.

BUON MANGIATA!
